ORDER OF SERVICE

• CALL TO WORSHIP: The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake! The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples. Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he! The King in his might loves justice. You have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness. Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he!

• PRAYER OF CONFESSION: Please sit or kneel and pray aloud the words that are printed here. 
  All: Holy Father, we confess that we may approach you with our mouths and our lips, when our hearts are not in worship. We confess that we offer to you that which costs us little. Though you are a great King, we often bring to you the leftovers of our time, energy, gifts, and worship. We have neglected your commands when it is inconvenient for us to keep them. We have ignored your laws when it causes us to lose our ease. We have disregarded our neighbors' needs, and wondered aloud why other people do not meet our needs. O Father, have mercy on us! Forgive us of our many debts! Cleanse us and give us the mind and heart of Jesus, who came not to be served but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many. In His name, and for His sake, we come to you. Amen.

ANNOUNCEMENTS


1. Ash Wednesday Service, 2/14, 7:00 pm. Please join us this Wednesday at the Family Center, 3211 Santa Fe Ave., 90810

2. Anniversary Service: We will be celebrating FOL's 17th anniversary on Sunday, March 3. We'll dress up, take our annual photo, and enjoy snacks.

3. CROSSwalk: If you would like to help serve the children in our Sunday Crosswalk classes, we could use your help! In particular, we are in need helpers in the elementary class. If you are already cleared to serve, please consider signing up by emailing debaliu@gmail.com. If you are interested in volunteering for Crosswalk, but have not going through the onboarding process, please reach out to Kelli Vos at: kelli.m.miller@gmail.com
