ORDER OF SERVICE

  • CALL TO WORSHIP
Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Join us as we stand to sing—rejoicing and praying as we lift our hearts up to God.

  • PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Please sit or kneel and pray aloud the words that are printed here.

All: Lord, we confess that the way of our walking, talking, thinking and behaving falls short of the glory of Jesus. We are reminded even in this moment that we are but dust. You are our Creator and we are the work of your hands; you are our Shepherd, we are your flock; you are our Redeemer, we are the people you have purchased; you are our God; we are your inheritance. Therefore, do not be angry with us in our sin or remember our iniquity against us, but chastise us gently in your kindness. Continue, O Father, that work that you have begun in us by your grace, that all the earth might know that you are our God and our Savior. Amen

  • ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Leader: Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to FOL, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned. Thanks be to God that in Jesus Christ we are reconciled to God, our sins are forgiven and we have a record of perfect righteousness. He became sin who knew no sin that we might become the righteousness of God in him. Hallelujah!  What a Savior!

We'll also have our annual photo and cupcakes!
